This project will work with remains from two different sites including an Iron Age site and a Roman Site.

Iron Age Cremations

Mora, Alentejo, Portugal

Finds from Tera  (David Gonçalves et al., 2015)

Tera Necropolis

  • 39 possible burials recorded

  • Artefacts associated with burials include brooch, bracelets, silver rings, belt-buckle

  • Different methods in analyzing cremations

  • Most of the analysis thus far has included using weight

Who should apply?

This project is aimed for those with prior experience in osteology. Ideally a class taught at university level or prior field work experience. If you have any questions about your eligibility please don't hesitate to reach out!
